Home » Welcome

Hello there!

My name is Stefan Hösemann and somehow you have found my website! I really love messing around with programming languages, graphics programs and audio recordings so I created this place as a platform to share some of my projects with you. The menu bar on the top will help you to navigate through the site. You can find the latest updates and changes below. Please stay a while and take a look around. You're welcome!

October 2016

After some very positive feedback and various source code requests I've finally decided to go open source on JPlatformer! The game is now on GitHub where you'll find everything you need in order to download, run and modify the project. Please feel free to contribute and extend JPlatformer if you like. There is still plenty of room for improvements and new ideas. This is actually my first open source project, so that's something that I'm really excited about.

September 2016

Facelift! After more than two years I felt the time had come to rework the look and feel of this website. The new design behaves better on desktop and mobile environments and allows for an improved user experience due to its simple and straightforward appearance. I hope you'll like it!

July 2016

JPlatformer is alive! The remake of Another Platformer is written in Java and offers a variety of new features, such as platform independence, an improved world editor and an overhauled user interface. I have also replaced some sprites here and there and added new sound effects. Go ahead and check it out if you like!

December 2015

Update! Another Reminder is now available in version 1.2! The new version features file attachments for tasks and a confirmation dialog before exiting the application. Also, tasks can now be viewed and edited by double-clicking them in the task table.

July 2015

Another Reminder is now online. This simple task manager was actually written as a small tool for private use. As the project grew bigger I decided to draw some icons and release it. Another Reminder is small, portable and runs cross-platform thanks to Java. You can find some screenshots below.

April 2015

And there goes another cover version of Slade's 1972 classic "Gudbuy T'Jane"... again! This song is probably my all time favorite, so I just had to record it once more as I haven't really been satisfied with my previous takes.

November 2014

The photostream has been redesigned and extended by further photographs. Feel free to have a look!

September 2014

After nearly one and a half years I've finally managed to finish my platform game project. The game is written in C++ and uses the SFML library. I've also done all the graphics and sounds myself. Check it out and let me know what you think about it!

August 2014

This website is now online! A few weeks of messing around with HTML and CSS have brought up this web presence. It was great fun as I haven't done something like this before.
