Home » Welcome
Hi and welcome to this website. My name is Stefan Hösemann and I really love messing around with programming languages, graphics software and audio recordings. I've created this place as a platform to share my projects with you. All the content you'll find here is free to use, so don't hesitate to check it out. The menu bar on the top will help you navigate through the website. You can find the latest updates and changes below. Feel free to stay a while and take a look around.
After some very positive feedback and various source code requests I've finally decided to go open source on JPlatformer! The game is now on GitHub where you'll find everything you need in order to download, run and modify the project. Please feel free to contribute and extend JPlatformer if you like. There is still plenty of room for improvements and new ideas. This is actually my first open source project, so that's something that I'm really excited about.
Facelift! After more than two years I felt the time had come to rework the look and feel of this website. The new design behaves better on desktop and mobile environments and allows for an improved user experience due to its simple and straightforward appearance. I hope you'll like it!
JPlatformer is alive! The remake of Another Platformer is written in Java and offers a variety of new features, such as platform independence, an overhauled user interface and an enhanced world editor. I have also replaced some sprites here and there and added new sound effects. Go ahead and check it out if you like!
Update! Another Reminder is now available in version 1.2! The new version features a set of improvements, such as file attachments for tasks and a confirmation dialog before closing the application. Also, tasks can now be viewed and edited by double-clicking them in the task table.
Another Reminder is now online. This simple task manager for desktop environments was actually written as a small tool for personal use. As the project grew bigger I decided to draw some icons and publish it. Another Reminder is small, portable and runs cross-platform thanks to Java.
And there goes another cover version of Slade's 1972 classic "Gudbuy T'Jane"... again! This greatly underrated song from their "Slayed?" album is probably my all time favorite, so I just had to record it once more as I haven't really been satisfied with my previous takes.
After nearly one and a half years I've finally managed to finish my platform game project Another Platformer. The game is written in C++ and uses the SFML library. I've also done all the graphics and sounds myself. Check it out and let me know what you think about it!
This website is now online! A few weeks of messing around with HTML and CSS have brought up this web presence. It was great fun as I haven't done something like this before.
